1926

Founded as a one-man operation by Gustav Strunk as supplier to mining industry, registered in Essen-Bergerhausen.  

1940

The sole proprietorship became a limited liability company called Maschinenfabrik Gustav Strunk GmbH. 1942 Company moved to Essen-Haarzopf.

1965

Johann Scherzer joins the Company as General Manager and Shareholder.

1966/67

New area of operation: Plant Engineering for storage and handling of mineral oil and chemical products

1983

Move to new premises at the industrial park in Essen-Kray-Leithe.
Company changed its name to:

Strunk & Scherzer Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH. 1986 Company split into:
a) Dipl.-Ing. SCHERZER GmbH
as planners and consulting engineers for petroleum, refinery and chemical plant construction.
b) Strunk & Scherzer Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH
(wholly owned subsidiary).
Continues to operate as supplier to mining industry.

1987

Launching the G.S.V. (Gully-Safety-Valve)

1997

Alexander Pramschüfer joins the Company as General Manager.

2005

Production of mining products discontinued at Strunk & Scherzer Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH.

2006

Strunk & Scherzer Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH changes name to Scherzer Umwelttechnik GmbH with operations focussing on: Production, distribution and maintenance of environmental products for petroleum and chemical plants, mining industry and other industrial sectors.

2006

Founding of Wettertechnik GmbH as partially owned subsidiary (50%) of Scherzer Umwelttechnik GmbH with operatins focusing on the sale of weather-related and railway facilities for underground mining industry.

2006

Acquisition of 45% of the business shares of Polish subcontractor Gründer&Hötten Polska by Scherzer Umwelttechnik GmbH.

2017

Foundation of OOO Scherzer RUS based in Yaroslawl (Russian Federation)
